Built in 1929 as the “quintessential corner store” then later becoming a MilkBar and thriving photography studio, Studio Two has now been creatively transformed into a unique luxury living experience. Ideally located a short walk to Pakington St with its fabulous strip of café’s, boutiques, restaurants & grocery stores. Only a 5-minute drive to the Geelong Waterfront and CBD. Fitted out with high-quality amenities this Studio has all you need for a quick holiday or business trip to Geelong. Stepping through the shopfront door you walk into the open living and dining area, which is showered in filtered in soft light from the laminated front windows. You will be transported into a gorgeous, specialised open-plan living, kitchen and dining space with old-world original touches and all the modern comforts & conveniences you need. Sink into the beautiful couch & position the many cushions to your liking, and enjoy your favourite shows on the large 65” Sony Tv. With Free Wifi available so you can log into all chosen subscription sites such as Netflix and Stan. In front of the windows sits a four-seater round dining table where you can enjoy a home-cooked meal or a quick delivery from the many places to choose from, being near Geelong CBD. Continuing through the open space, the modern kitchen is fully equipped to whip up a tasty meal with an induction cooktop, full oven, microwave, cookware, utensils, crockery, cutlery & glassware. And of course, a dishwasher for the clean up! If you don’t feel like cooking you can always wander across the road to the local favourite: The Yardz Hotel with many delicious meals on offer! In the evening, enjoy the gorgeous central Old World pendant light as it sends a beautiful cascading pattern across the ceiling & walls, creating a gentle, soothing atmosphere. Studio Two has two lovely bedrooms to choose from, both containing a queen bed. The home it split-level with two steps up to the bedrooms. Behind the double doors, you will find a welcoming, cozy bedroom with a period-style fireplace (Decorative only) and a plush Queen bed. The room carries the soft angora blue from the feature wall through its styling. There is also a woven luggage seat and open hanging space. Through the doorway by the kitchen, to the right holds an art deco water closet with a quirky sustainable toilet delivering clean tap water to the basin attached directly above it. Adjoining is a Euro Laundry complete with washer, dryer, ironing board & iron. To the left sits the Main bedroom, which features a floor-to-ceiling glass wall which leads out to the quaint courtyard. The courtyard features an eccentric mix of black period-style seating for two on top of mosaic paving that has been hand decorated with art. The bedroom runs with an ‘Australiana’ feel with the deep red wood trim, vintage dresser and native floral cushions on top of the Queen bed. Through the sliding door exhibiting a stained-glass window, you enter the bathroom dressed in black and white art deco inspired tiles. Which consists of a vanity, toilet and oversized shower with a luscious rain shower head. Studio Two is heated and cooled by a large capacity split system and the main bedroom has a ceiling fan. Enjoy what the local area has to offer, take a few steps across the road to The Yardz hotel, enjoying meals and drinks in the Beer Garden. Or head across the main road to get some exercise in the sun at Geelong West sporting complex: oval, netball courts & cycling track. Also nearby, take a short walk to Pakington Streets cafes, restaurants & shops. And if you walk straight down Church St (around 15 mins), you’ll arrive at Geelong’s beautiful Bay (5 min by car). Or head into Geelong CBD, where there are many more shops, restaurants and work opportunities. Things to Note: There is no parking on the property. Free Street parking is available. As our Guest in Studio 2, you will be staying in a creatively & beautifully designed, very comfortable townhouse. Please note that we are a part of a larger block of two more living spaces, we kindly ask that you respect others by avoiding loud noise such as loud music and loud TV. And of course we do have a “no party” condition. Traffic Noise: Studio 2 was originally a shop front Corner Store. Built on a main road (Church St) for maximum exposure. While the new commercial windows and doors at the front do a great job of filtering out the noise, you will get some reduced traffic noise, especially during the day. At night time in the bedroom (window closed) you will have a lovely peaceful sleep. Guest Access The property is fit with a digital lock so you can head straight there after check in time. No need to meet someone or visit an office. You will receive the check in details 48 hours prior to arrival. There is no off street parking, street parking is free on Church St and Raven St. The Neighbourhood The property is located on Church St in the suburb of Geelong West, close to Pakington St where there are many boutiques, restaurants & vintage shops to enjoy, along with necessities at Woolworths. Just a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk, enjoy the views at Geelong Bay and shopping or work opportunities in Geelong CBD. Getting Around If you’re not bringing your own vehicle there is public transport via the local bus network accessible right across the road. Ubers are also readily available in this area.View More
